How Can We Receive Salvation and Eternal Life?
Salvation is a free gift from God, but we must choose to accept it. God sacrificed His Son so that His perfect blood could wash our wrong deeds (sin) clean.
We must: -Admit that we have sinned against God
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
-Believe that Jesus is God's Son and that God raised Him from the dead
Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.
John 3:17-18 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
-Confess that Jesus is Lord of your life
Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
